"I love Humboldt" contest

In an effort to gather public displays of community pride, the Humboldt Film Commission sponsored a short film contest for all ages, to partner with the Love, Humboldt and Humboldt Made films premiere.  The 30-second video entries were to be creative and convey the filmmaker’s passion for the area.  Participants created videos using their own camera equipment or props, or they had the opportunity to join in the free, movie making marathon at the KAEF studio on Jan. 14.  High Definition cameras, lights, reflectors and microphones were provided at the KAEF studio.

The top three winners will be awarded $300 and a Flip camera for the overall best video, $100 for the best anchor interview and $100 for best on location interview.  Winners will be announced at the Love, Humboldt and Humboldt Made films premiere on Saturday, Feb. 13. To check out the entries, go to http://khum.com/ilovehumboldt.
