Submit a blog post
Humboldt Made provides a platform to get your latest and greatest in-depth content out there. Changed packaging? Got into a new store? Have a new product? Want to take us down a philosophic journey about your business? Submit away and please always include a contact email and phone number at the bottom of your blog post.
In addition to your content being featured on our site and social media, HM also sends out a monthly press release with your posts. These press releases go out to 60 plus press contacts in the region. Having your info at the bottom is important for them to be able to seek out additional information.

Monthly Humboldt Made Tastings Hosted By Wildberries Marketplace
Wildberries Marketplace is all about supporting our local makers and producers which is why we collaborate every second Friday of the month on Arts Arcata nights to host "Humboldt Made Tastings".
Each tasting is from 4 pm - 6 pm with three to four companies participating.
Wildberries is diligent in promoting these tasting.

Join Bill Prescott for a one hour marketing roundtable. This will be a monthly engagement, where we will focus on both you, your business, and how we can work together. The first ½ hour will give members a chance to mention their most recent marketing success or learning experience, then the second ½ hour will focus on a particular element or platform for marketing, this month we will talk about Instagram.
The goal of these monthly meetings is to build a community of marketers who can support, learn and grow with each other. By sharing what is currently working with our marketing efforts, we can all improve our skill set, stay ahead of technology and trends, and achieve greater results for our businesses.
This group will be a testing ground where you can get feedback on ideas, share victories, and learn from missed opportunities. This group will also form a community to help share your message with likeminded people and businesses. As an example, when you have a marketing success, one of the most important things you can do is share it on social media. With this group, we will be able to share our content, interviews and awards across the web.
As a member of the Promotion Committee for the California Cut Flower Commission, Bill has seen this model work very effectively for large and small businesses. Bill Prescott is the Marketing Communications Specialist for the Sun Valley Floral Farms and also, runs Stargazer Barn, which is Sun Valley’s direct to consumer website, as well as, his own social media consulting firm, Prescott Designs.

You only get one chance to make a first impression!
Photography can make or break your marketing campaign. Whatever product or service you sell, think about how you are coming across to your customers.
Marketing is all about communicating your value. Tapping into professional photography is an excellent opportunity to create a message for your business that makes you unique.
Humboldt Made has teamed up local photographer, Amy Kumler to provide quarterly lifestyle photoshoots.
For a $160 participation fee, your company walks away with eight high quality, lifestyle shots. Here is a slideshow of our last session.
Those of you who participated in the last one are still welcome to participate in the next one. We will have a "winter" shoot in December as well.

Dates - March 10-12, 2017
Cost for split booth - $2,700 ( booth only)
You should expect housing and food costs on top of that. Last year, each of our shared booth companies spent roughly $5000 total. Some less and some more. Companies who had their own booths spent between 7,000 - 13,000.
Every year HM brings down a select group of business to co-op the cost of having a trade show booth at Natural Products Expo West. With over 70,000 attendees this show is one of the biggest of it's kind.

Humboldt Made facilitates the sharing of festival booths. Example: Oyster Fest has three companies under one booth. The cost of both the booth and permitting are split.

Humboldt Made partners with the North Coast Small Business Resource Center and the SBDC program whose mission is to engender entrepreneurship and cultivate small business success in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties by providing high-quality technical support, training and in-depth business analysis for business owners and entrepreneurs.
