"Jalapeno Bagels" book signing by local best selling author Natasha Wing

Come by Los Bagels in Old Town, Eureka during Arts Alive! on Saturday, April 3rd to meet local best selling author Natasha Wing.  "Jalapeno Bagels" is the iconic story of a boy named Pablo, who needs to bring a food for “International Day” at his school.  Ms. Wing based her lead character on Dennis Rael, the founder of Los Bagels.  Mr. Rael grew up in a Jewish-Latino household, and this was his inspiration for starting his multicultural café, Los Bagels.

"Jalapeno Bagels" was first published in 1996 and is now in its’ 15th printing.  The story is included in second grade school anthologies throughout the United States.  Robert Casilla’s original artwork from the book will also grace the walls of Los Bagels.  See you there!
