Humboldt Made is a developing association of businesses that produce in, and export products from, Humboldt County, California.
Humboldt Made was developed by the Humboldt County Office of Economic Development and a private sector committee in conjunction with Humboldt State University Marketing and Communications, Film Humboldt, and the North Coast Small Business Development Center.
The first objective of Humboldt Made was to develop a brand for Humboldt County value-added agriculture (“the pursuit of happiness” industries including food, beverage and flower products) and to design branding tools that make Humboldt County products easy to identify in the marketplace.
Our second objective is to integrate the brand within an association of established businesses that will benefit from selling their products as “Humboldt Made”, particularly in specialty food markets on the West Coast.
Thirdly, we will create a direct channel for Humboldt Made businesses to receive economic, community, and business development services and expertise that will give Humboldt County products a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
If you are a business owner in Humboldt County (from any industry) and are interested in participating in Humboldt Made, please read over the linked application to see if this brand is a “fit” for you. If this looks like a program that would benefit your business, and your product association in turn, would benefit other local businesses, please follow the directions in the application packet to apply.
