There will be a special screening of the Humboldt Made videos Love, Humboldtand Humboldt Madeat the historic Winema Theatre in Scotia this Thursday, June 17. A BBQ of Eel River Organic Beef Patties and Eel River Brewing Company brews will kick off the evening at 5:30 p.m., with all proceeds of food and beverage sales going to the Scotia Volunteer Fire Department.

Enjoy short videos about local food, beer, wine and flower production, featuring locations such as the Eel River Valley, Ferndale and Humboldt Redwoods State Park.

Presented by Humboldt County Economic Development Division, Humboldt Film Commission, the Town of Scotia and the Scotia Volunteer Fire Department.

Humboldt Made was developed by the Humboldt County Office of Economic Development and a private sector committee in conjunction with Humboldt State University Marketing and Communications, the Humboldt Film Commission and the North Coast Small Business Development Center. 

The Scotia Made portion of the evening includes reflections by community members who were either born or grew up in Scotia. Presenters include County Supervisor Ciif Clendenen, Film Commissioner Mary Cruse, and Eel River Organic Beef owner Clint Victorene.

The feature presentation will be Love, Humboldt and Humboldt Madevideos on the big screen.  The production was a full-on Humboldt creation with support by Humboldt Made project Manager, Angie Schwab, the Humboldt Film Commission, writer/dirctor Maria Matteoli, cinematographer Andy Rydzewski, production manager Montel Vanderhorck, lead actors Aimee Taylor, James Gadd, Bob Wells, Sharon Tavola and dozens of others.
