Humboldt Made Video Screening at the Mateel Community Center

Join us tomorrow night, Thursday, May 13th at the Mateel Community Center

Enjoy short videos about local food, beer, wine and flower production, featuring locations such as the Benbow Inn, Eel River & Redwoods State Park & Avenue of the Giants.

Presented by Humboldt County Economic Development Division, Film Humboldt & the Mateel Community Center.  

Tonite! Humboldt Made videos@Van Duzer Theatre, HSU, 6:30 pm, screenings

Tonight, April 19th, is the opening night of the HSU's Humboldt Film Festival, the oldest continuous, student run film festival in the world.

Tonight is Local Filmmakers' Night, featuring FilmHumboldt's Humboldt Made videos and other local cinematic shorts. There will beer, wine and pizza.

Doors open at the Van Duzer Theatre, HSU, 6:30 pm, screenings start at 7:30 pm.
The proceeds of tonight's evening will help support the Humboldt Film Commission.

"Jalapeno Bagels" book signing by local best selling author Natasha Wing

Come by Los Bagels in Old Town, Eureka during Arts Alive! on Saturday, April 3rd to meet local best selling author Natasha Wing.  "Jalapeno Bagels" is the iconic story of a boy named Pablo, who needs to bring a food for “International Day” at his school.  Ms. Wing based her lead character on Dennis Rael, the founder of Los Bagels.  Mr. Rael grew up in a Jewish-Latino household, and this was his inspiration for starting his multicultural café, Los Bagels.

Humboldt Made Informational Meeting, March 31st

Businesses wishing to get on board with the “Made in Humboldt” brand and be included on the HumboldtMade.com website are invited to an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 31st at the Prosperity Center Conference Room - 520 E Street in Eureka. Choose from two times - 9am - 11am or 3pm - 5pm.

Businesses who participate in Humboldt Made will have access to marketing tools and resources to build Humboldt County product recognition in the marketplace. The criteria and process around brand “adoption” will be discussed at this meeting.
