AN ALL LOCAL VENDING MACHINE AT THE AIRPORT!!

How cool is that?! It was one of our Executive Director’s big dreams — to get an all local products vending machine at the airport — and that dream has come true!

The vending machine officially launched on March 11th when the first Breeze Airway flight came in — we are VERY excited to have this new airline connecting us to SoCal! In the vending machine, you can find products from Humboldt Made members like granola from Lost Bagels, perfume from Tulip Perfume, chapstick from Botany Babe, coffee beans from The Grind Cafe, and more!

We are working with Rendezvous Music & Vending, along with the County of Humboldt, to make this program come to life. And a special thanks to Visual Concepts for wrapping it with those awesome graphics!

HUMBOLDT MADE MEMBERS WENT NATIONAL!

After preparing for almost an entire year, Humboldt Made took 20 local brands to Natural Products Expo West, the largest natural products trade show in North America!

Thanks to grant funding from Headwaters Fund & the County of Humboldt, we were able to subsidize the cost of exhibiting for five local emerging brands; Shroomworks, Nonna Lena’s Pesto, Jersey Scoops, Matka Pierogi, and Hum Yum Caramels.

Our members Ohana Organics & Raised Gluten Free were also there exhibiting and helping our emerging brands as their mentors. Both Tara, (on the BOD for Humboldt Made), and Rosa, (our Executive Director), were instrumental in preparing these emerging businesses to go to a National Trade Show.

In addition to these 7 brands, there were another 15 brands that were on display in our incredible shelves, custom made by our member Fireborn Tools, and in the Humboldt Made product catalog. All 22 brands were able to get their products seen by buyers, retailers, content creators, and consumers, with over 100k attendees!

We showed up as a cohesive unit, representing Humboldt as a region from which creativity, collaboration, and natural beauty are abundant. Our group was well received and our exhibiting members are still feeling the excitement from giving out thousands of samples of their products at this event and getting a steady stream of positive feedback!

We are already planning for Expo West 2027!

We are raffling off TONS of awesome prizes, including 6 Humboldt Made gift bundles with gift cards and Humboldt Made goodies. The GRAND PRIZE?!! It’s an overnight stay at The Front Porch Inn & a gift card for dinner at Campground along with some local Briceland Vineyard wine & Dick Taylor chocolate to enjoy during your cozy staycation!

OUR NEXT MIXER IS ALSO A PINTS FOR NONPROFIT!!

Join us this month for an extra special mixer hosted by Redwood Curtain Brewery on South G Street in Arcata.

Bring your business card for the door prize drawing & cash for raffle tickets! We have some neat prizes and we are raising money so we can keep all of our awesome programs going.

From 6-8pm, $1 from every beer sold will go to Humboldt Made — huge shoutout to our member, Redwood Curtain Brewery for this generous donation to the Humboldt Made mission!
