Humboldt Made is Going National

We are excited to share some big news with our community — Humboldt Made is heading to Expo West 2026, the largest natural products trade show in the country. Thanks to the support of the Headwaters Grant, we’ll be showcasing our incredible makers and products on the national stage.
What This Opportunity Looks Like
Four Humboldt Made members will be sampling their products for thousands of attendees, including store buyers, bloggers, influencers, and leaders in the natural products industry.
Alongside them, we will feature a shared kiosk with additional Humboldt Made products and a catalog of our members’ offerings. This means that businesses at every stage of growth will have the chance to be seen and considered by major decision-makers in the industry.
To deepen the experience, several members will also join us to help at the booth, walk the floor, and learn what it’s like to participate in a national trade show.
Preparing Our Members for Success
This effort is all about helping our members grow beyond the redwood curtain. To prepare, our Executive Director, Rosa Dixon of Raised Gluten Free, will be mentoring our makers. Rosa has attended hundreds of trade shows and brings invaluable experience to guide them through everything from booth preparation to making lasting connections.
At the same time, our Marketing Director, Charlene, will be working to design an aesthetically cohesive booth that reflects the talent, quality, and unique identity of our Humboldt Made businesses.
Why This Matters
Booth spaces at Expo West can cost tens of thousands of dollars, and only nonprofits are allowed to share spaces. By receiving this grant, Humboldt Made is able to subsidize a significant portion of the cost, giving our members who are ready to grow and expand a chance to participate in this incredible opportunity.
This isn’t the first time Humboldt Made has taken members to Expo West. A little over ten years ago, a group of local businesses attended the show under the Humboldt Made banner. That experience transformed their businesses, opening doors to national distribution. Companies like Raised Gluten Free, JessiCurl, and others who are now carried in stores across the country got their start at Expo West with the support of Humboldt Made.
That legacy is what makes this new opportunity so exciting. We know the power of this event, and we are committed to giving today’s makers the same chance to grow beyond the redwood curtain.
Looking Ahead
This is a major milestone for Humboldt Made and for the businesses we support. It’s a chance to show the world what our community creates, and to open doors for local makers to land on store shelves across the country.
We look forward to sharing more as we prepare for March 2026 and take Humboldt Made products to the national market.
