Emma Haskett
I grew up in Humboldt County and studied botany at Humboldt State University before spending my early career with the National Park Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, working on habitat protection and wildlife conservation projects across the country. After a detour teaching English in Spain, I returned to Humboldt County in 2015 to settle down near family and friends.
When COVID hit and local restaurants closed, I started Tuesdays, a gluten-free meal delivery business. I also joined a local startup where I learned the ins and outs of small business operations. Currently, I work as Project Manager for Humboldt Commons, a senior community being developed in Humboldt County, where I manage planning, entitlements, and environmental compliance.
When I'm not working, you'll find me backpacking in the Trinity Alps, running local trails, lifting weights, or cooking with friends. Humboldt has always been home, and I'm excited to be part of Humboldt Made to support our local makers and help keep the small business economy thriving in the community I love.
