Emily Kirsch is deeply engaged in place-based marketing and community storytelling in Humboldt County. She leads tourism marketing efforts for the City of Eureka, managing the Visit Eureka website and social media channels and promoting local businesses, artists, events, and cultural experiences throughout the region, with a focus on supporting small businesses and the creative economy.

Professionally, Emily is Director of Program Development at UC Berkeley Global, where she works across campus and with domestic and international partners to design innovative academic programs and partnerships. She brings more than 18 years of experience in strategy, communications, and partnership development, with a strong focus on ethical engagement, collaboration, and community impact. Emily is passionate about initiatives that strengthen Humboldt County’s identity, visibility, and long-term economic resilience.
